Hi!
My name is Mark Stuart Farrar, and I'm a Brit who has been living in the USA since 2005.
I was a yeast merchant for three years before spending the next 25 years as an IT professional (programmer, systems analyst, data analyst, then strategist), at which point I left the corporate rat race and started working for myself.
I create online tools for entrepreneurs and businesses (Toolarium / Holiday Reminder Alerts), as well as for Medium readers and writers with my Medium Bookmark Manager, and run my own print-on-demand business at DealioHound.casa.
I also created tools for haiku writers - Haiku Mentor and the 17 Onji Haiku Crafters' Suite.
I write, here on Medium as well as on other platforms and my own sites (e.g., Self Help Nirvana), on a wide variety of topics, including health, business, entrepreneurship, writing, aphantasia, and more, and I also write haiku and flash fiction.
Since I write on a wide variety of topics, I run several private publications for those who have specific interests:
2. DEServedHealth.news, which provides information and news about the three cornerstones of great health - diet, exercise, and sleep.
3. Marks' Meandering Musings, where I publish stories from my travels.
4. The Corporate Hamster Wheel, which is the Medium publication that supports my newsletter of the same name. This is for those who are still stuck in the corporate rat race, as well as those who are either trying or have succeeded in escaping it and becoming an entrepreneur.
5. The Epistemophile, which is the Medium publication I use to share all of the things I've searched for each week, as well as any other interesting information I stumble across.
6. Twisted Flash Fiction, which is, as its name suggests, where I publish flash fiction and microfiction stories (mainly only 55 words) - although, because of a change in Medium policies, I had to move these recently to a publication on Substack.
